Todae Solar completed a 100kW commercial solar system for the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) in October 2016. The popular specialist not-for-profit museum is home to Australia’s largest collection of historical aircraft with significance to Australian Aviation history. Located within the Illawarra Regional Airport, there were additional challenges that our design and install team had to account for such as ensuring glare from the panels did not affect pilots approaching or leaving the airstrip. Despite these challenges, airports are great locations for solar systems and can create significant cost savings.
